Details: The 19-amino acid peptide CSRARKQAASIKVAVSADR, which corresponds to residues 2091-2108 of the laminin A chain (plus an N-terminal cysteine), is contained within the long arm of the A chain. It is capable of stimulating neuronal-like process formation to almost the same extent as laminin and competes with laminin for stimulation of neurite outgrowth.
