Details: This inhibitor of the human CMV assemblin protease is derived from RGVVNASSRLAK, the M-site substrate of the protease. RGVVNA-psi[CH2-NH]SSRLA contains a non-hydrolyzable reduced peptide bond at the cleavage site. Its IC₅₀ value is high (> 500 µM) but it is the first peptidomimetic inhibitor designed for the human CMV protease.
